Research and Education Center was created by the head of the Pedagogical Institute of Southern Federal University (Decree № 924 from 08.11.2011g.).
The center was established at the Department of sports disciplines.

The main activities of NOC:

- Innovation in the field of physical education and sports, the solution of fundamental and applied problems in the field of physical education and sport;

- Commercial activities to provide educational and scientific-methodical services;

- SFU branding on the world market of educational services, the expansion of existing scientific links with Russian and foreign scientific and educational centers, sports organizations and clubs.
